Stewart Hen is a Managing Director of Warburg Pincus LLC, focusing on investments in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Hen has over sixteen years experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Hen was a consultant at McKinsey and Company where he advised life sciences companies on a range of strategic issues. Prior to McKinsey, he worked at Merck in both Research and Development and manufacturing. Mr. Hen holds a MBA from The Wharton School, a MS in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware. Mr. Hen is a director of Alita Pharmaceuticals, Allos Pharmaceuticals, Altus Pharmaceuticals, Prestwick Pharmaceuticals, Neurogen Corporation and Rib-X Pharmaceuticals. He also serves on the Health Care and Sciences Group of the New York City Investment Fund.
