Erin Duffy, PhD Vice-President, Structure Based Drug Design
Dr. Duffy is Vice President of the Structure Based Drug Design group which includes crystallography,
information technology, structural and computational chemistry and biology. Dr. Duffy was trained at Yale University,
received her PhD in 1994 in physical-organic chemistry and moved to the Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry Department for postdoctoral work.
Dr. Duffy spent five years as a computational chemist with Pfizer Global Research and Development in Groton, Connecticut,
working in the neuroscience, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases areas. Dr. Duffy left Pfizer in late 2000 to join Achillion Pharmaceuticals,
Inc. where she was the Associate Director of Innovative Discovery Technologies, which included responsibilities for computational chemistry
as well as chemoinformatics, informatics, and compound management. Dr. Duffy joined Rib-X early in 2002.
