Dr. Johnson joined Rib-X in February 2003, bringing 25 years of pharmaceutical experience to his position. Dr. Johnson came to Rib-X from a twelve year career with Bristol-Myers Squibb where he had held positions as Vice President for Wallingford and Interim Vice President for Neuroscience Biology. Prior to his tenure at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dr. Johnson held increasingly senior positions with Parke-Davis in Ann Arbor Michigan and Hoechst in the United Kingdom. Although spending much of his career working in the area of neuroscience, joining Rib-X brings Dr. Johnson back to his roots as an antibacterial chemist working in the area of penicillin research. Dr. Johnson is named as an inventor on more than 50 US patents and has co-authored more than 50 published scientific papers.
