Dr. Noller is the
Robert Louis Sinsheimer Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1992. He is an invaluable addition to the Scientific Board because of his long-term research on ribosomal RNA structure and function. In 2001, Dr. Noller together with Drs. Moore and Steitz received the Rosenstiel Award for Distinguished Work in Basic Medical Sciences for their research on the ribosome. Dr. Noller is also co-recipient of the 2007 Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter Prize awarded by the Paul Ehrlich Foundation.
