Pipeline
Rib-X has a rapidly expanding pipeline, including two clinical stage programs.
These include delafloxacin (RX-3341), a next-generation quinolone, and radezolid (RX-1741),
a product of
the Company's oxazolidinone program. Delafloxacin has activity against
methicillin resistant
Staphylococcus aureus
(MRSA) and recently has completed successfully a Phase 2 study for complicated skin and soft tissue
infections (cSSTI). RX-1741, which was discovered using Rib-X's
proprietary discovery process, has completed successfully two separate Phase 2 studies
for community acquired pneumonia (CAP) and uncomplicated skin and soft
tissue infections (uSSTI).
Additionally, the Company has two rapidly advancing drug discovery programs, Rχ-02 and Rχ-04. The Rχ-02 program is focused on the design and development of a next generation macrolide to treat uSSTI in the community, where MRSA has taken a strong foothold. The goal of the Rχ-04 program is to design and develop molecules with a completely novel chemical scaffold which can be used in the hospital for the treatment of serious hospital Gram-negative infections.
