Pipeline: Overview

Rib-X has built an industry leading, fully integrated, complementary pipeline to address the broadest scope of bacterial infection. The Company's latest stage candidate is delafloxacin, a novel fluoroquinolone positioned as an empiric, front-line workhorse for the emergency department. For more difficult to treat or resistant infections, radezolid is a next-generation oxazolidinone designed to have an improved safety profile, greater potency and broader spectrum, likely making it the only option for long-term oxazolidinone therapy. Rib-X's most advanced preclinical program, RX-04, is focused on the design and development of novel classes of antibiotics to treat some of the most resistant bacteria, including Pseudomonas, NDM-1, ESBLs and other serious pathogens. Rib-X has three discovery programs—RX-02, RX-05 and RX-06—that will continue to yield next-generation products and completely new classes of compounds and, most importantly, deliver lifesaving drugs for the most difficult to treat, resistant superbugs. Rib-X believes this stepped and rational approach is exactly what the antibiotic market needs to truly address what has become a global public health crisis.
